Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
- Develop high-quality data pipelines using Python and Airflow to ensure optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate data needs into data systems and pipelines.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency by implementing robust testing frameworks.
- Maintain a basic understanding and implementation of Git for version control.
- Utilize Docker for containerizing applications and ensuring a consistent environment for development and deployment.
- Optimize and improve existing systems with innovative data tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support machine learning projects and to enhance data collection strategies that leverage relevant data.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and others.
Eligibility Criteria
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role.
- Proficient in Python programming specifically for data applications.
- Experience with workflow management tools like Apache Airflow.
- Solid understanding of SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
- Basic proficiency with Git for version control.
- Understanding of Docker and its application in development environments.
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
